Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland and in the event of any dispute or claim associated with these terms and conditions, that dispute or claim shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
DUTIES & VAT
Duties & VAT All products made in Iceland are excluded from any duties, VAT or additional dues before shipping it out of the country. However, should you be shipping your purchased item at Hildurhafstein.com within Iceland, the VAT will be added to any currency you choose on our website. The VAT is always included in the Icelandic prices. Hildurhafstein.com process all orders in ISK. While the content of your cart is currently displayed in other currencies, you will checkout using ISK at the most current exchange rate. In most parts of the world you will be required to pay sales tax in your home country. It is always your responsibility to gather information about importing restrictions, customs and dues that may apply in your home country, as this varies between each country.

All orders are processed within 24-48 hours depending on item availability and credit card verification. If the product is not available or on stock, a service representative will contact you and announce an estimated delivery time. All orders are delivered with Islandspostur and their delivery, transportation and insurance terms apply to the delivery. Hildurhafstein.com is thereby not responsible for damage during delivery. The buyer is responsible for damage during transportation from hildurhafstein.com to the buyer. Domestic orders are shipped in 2-5 days. International shipping time is usually 5-14 days. Please note that Islandspostur does not deliver to APO (Army Post Office) addresses or PO boxes. Deliveries from Islandspostur can be subjected to duties and taxes according to the receiving country's laws. These charges are not included in the product price. If for some reason a product is not available, even though it is stated on the web store, we will notify you when the product will be available again and offer a full refund if the time to wait is not suited.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU
Hildurhafstein.com only collects personal information when you register into our account and receive your login. We only gather basic information requiring your full name, country of origin, email and address. By registering, you are consenting to the collection of your personal data. If you do not have an account with us, we will store the same information as here above, until your product has been shipped, solely to enable us to process and fulfill your order. When ordering a product at Hildurhafstein.com website, your credit card details are only saved for the duration whilst your payment is being processed and approved in the system. Valitor saves your credit card information in their safe system and not on the checkout payment site. Valitor has been granted the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification which is intended to minimize any chances of card fraud. Valitor uses Address Verification Services (AVS), Card Verification Value (CVV2), MasterCard SecureCode, Verified by Visa (VbV) and Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS) for distributed software. Your card details are secured during this process, for both our customers that have an account and those without one. WHAT ABOUT COOKIES?
CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES CANCELLATION
If you want to cancel an order, please send an e-mail marked "Cancellation" to info (at) hildurhafstein.com. Please note clearly the order date and the order number.
Your order confirmation e-mail may be returned to sender with the text "Cancellation" inserted in the subject line. Cancellation of an order must be made before 14:00 o'clock on the same day that the order is made.
RETURNING YOUR PURCHASE
Should you by any chance want to return your newly purchased Hildurhafstein.com product, we ask that you contact our customer service by email: info (at) hildurhafstein.com. Kindly keep in mind that from receiving the product you have 14 days to return it. You will need to specify your purchase order number, date of purchase and reason for wanting to return the product. It is your decision to select the method of returning the product. Cost of returning is to be covered by the purchaser. You will be notified by email once your return has been received and processed.
EXCHANGING YOUR PURCHASE
There is no charge to exchange items for a different size, however all exchanges are based on stock availability. Shipping is to be paid for the replacement item. To exchange an item, contact our customer service by email: info (at) hildurhafstein.com which will guide you through steps required for exchange. Please remember to specify the new size you require. Please note that we are only able to offer size exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for an alternative style, we suggest that you return it for a store credit and purchase the new item separately.
RECEIVING YOUR REFUND
Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card and will include shipping costs for faulty items. If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable. We recommend you contact your local customs bureau directly for accurate details as this may vary and not be available for all countries. Please note card refunds may take up to 5 business days to complete; this can vary greatly between card issuers. Unfortunately we are unable to have impact on this.
Items should be returned new, unused, and with the tags still attached. Returns that are damaged, spoiled or altered may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer.
